In church life, there is a tendency for envy and jealousy. I know that’s a very new and profound statement. What can I say - I’m prophetic!

But as I progress through Philippians, passages like this challenge me. As Eternity moves forward, I am resolved in two convictions:

  1. To never be a detractor or speak evil of a fellow preacher or body of Christ. I have not been perfect in this area but am resolved to change that.
  2. To never be slowed, swayed, or stopped by my detractors.

Neither is a problem when Jesus is your main focus.
