Consider the fact that you eat and don’t starve today because God gave you a gift before you were born..namely, your place of birth!
And a little creature made in the image of God trys to get your attention, your reaction says a lot about your love for them.
If I’m living out my life without a spirit of love (agape), then I’m annoying, worthless, and a loser. God put a premium on love.
The reality of sin, especially when you consider this verse, is that it will be a lot easier to see in others than in yourself.
Just looking at Paul’s letters, he says as much here and here. If your focus is on your wants, desires, and needs, it’s probably sin.
After all, He is a man and not just a collection of ideas. How often do you ponder that one day you’ll actually meet Him?
